Valley


The Grand Canyon is in the territory of the United States of America. Its valley was shaped by the Colorado River over thousands of years as its waters scoured the bed, the deepening over 446 km. Comes to measuring between 6 and 29 km wide and reaches depths of 1600 meters.

About 2 billion years of geologic history of Earth were exposed by the river, as it and its tributaries will expose layer after layer of sediment.  At Grand Canyon National Park is possible to stay in numerous hotels throughout the park, for rent helicopters sightseeing flights, you can also go hiking in the canyons knowing its exotic vegetation, navigating the rivers and magnificent waterfalls hidden knowing, like that of Thunder River! Grand Canyon Skywalk is a glass walkway located on West Grand Canyon west of Grand Canyon National Park opened on March 20, 2007. In a horseshoe shape is the height of 1300 meters and an attraction for the more adventurous.

The platform weighs 500 tons and the glass plate is 10 cm thickness. It is capable of supporting the weight of 800 people but for security is allowed only 120 at a time. The platform can withstand winds of up to 160 km / hour. The falls are formed by the Iguaçu River, which traverses east-west; 1320 km to its mouth in the city of Iguassu falls, bordering Argentina. 15 km before joining the Paraná River, Iguaçu an unevenness of land which falls in about 275 drops 65 feet tall on average, an average flow of 1500 cubic meters per second, a width of 4800 m.

The Devil’s Throat begins in the form of inverted “U” with 150 meters wide and 80 meters high. See the term “Canyon”. The Devil’s Throat is the largest, most majestic and impressive of them all. This is because the boundary line between Brazil and Argentina.
In addition to lush waterfalls, has within it other attractions such as wildlife, fairly representative, the Black Well, the Macuco Falls, the Visitor Center, the Statue of Santos Dumont, VASP tribute to the “Father of Aviation” responsible for transformation of the area of the Falls National Park, and a leisure hotel.
